I started up a few Google ads this weekend and after taking a look at them tonight, I found that the search volume related to fring, was much higher than that for Truphone (which is contrary to what I expected, maybe this is a US perspective, though). The fring review page and the Truphone review page here have a comparable number of reviews, so I am a little puzzled.

Is this a result of the “iPhone effect”? Is fring a more popular service? Could the reason be that fring is free?
