Voipium Releases Mobile VoIP Client

voipiumDanish based Mobile VoIP provider, Voipium contacted me the other day to let me know about their new Mobile VoIP client for Symbin and Windows Mobile OS cellular phones. The service, which is currently available in Denmark, Finland, Norway, Sweden and Spain, works similar to other call through services in that when a user dials a long distance number the call is re-routed through a Vopium owned gateway and via global traffic carriers to the dialed number. The call is delivered as ordinary voice traffic in order to secure the voice quality.

Voipum features the ability to send and receive international SMS messages and offers some pretty aggressive international calling rates.

Since the service is not yet guaranteed to work stateside, I have yet to try it, however when it does, I will be sure to test it out and write a review.
