TringMe Announces API Availability

Mobile VoIP provider TringMe has announced the availability of an API that will allow developers to create rich web-based voice applications or standalone applications that complement, enhance and leverage TringMe’s existing functionality.

The best part about the TringMe API is that it is simple enough for any developer to quickly understand and get going. Developers can create their own Adobe Flash, Flex or AIR application based on TringMe’s standards based APIs in a matter of couple of hours. Given the powerful functionality of Adobe Flash and the ease of use of TringMe’s APIs, developers will be able to produce compelling voice enabled apps using Adobe’s - Flash, Flex or AIR - technologies. For example, developers can create a fully-functional desktop phone on top of TringMe APIs using Adobe AIR technology.

This is definitely a great step in the right direction for TringMe. Opening up access to their platform will allow the service to gain greater use and of course with that comes more users (and hopefully revenues).
