Skype is a little piece of software that makes communicating with people around the world easy and fun. With Skype you can say hello or share a laugh with anyone, anywhere. And if both of you are on Skype, it’s free. Skype mobile is the mobile version of the peer-to-peer (P2P) VoIP phone service. With Skype mobile and a Window mobile 5.0 and higher cellular phone that has WiFi capabilities you can call your Skype friends for free and everyone else for the same low rates as you would with your PC based Skype account.

Price is just OK. Most phonecard can do much better. You definitely need a computer or a skype compatible phone to dial. Sound quality is fine. If you need very large amount of talk time around the world, their ultimate world service might be the best and cheapest VOIP choice in the market.

I have an HTC Touch Cruise with Windows Mobile 6.0 Professional, 3G and HSDPA.
I bought this telephone because I wanted to have skype and use it through the internet.
I am very disappointed for at least 2 reasons:
1) even with full HSDPA coverage there is a big delay in the voice (around 1 second) and at least 1 disruption of sound every 2 words, so the phrase “I am going on vacation” sounds like “I …m g…ng on vac…n”, with 1 second delay
2) skype only uses the loudspeaker, so unless you want everybody at the post office to hear you saying “Hi love, could you buy some bread and apples” you are forced to use the headset, but (IMPORTANT) wired headset, not the bluetooth ones, because skype just does not recognize the BT.
at first I found incredible that an application created for windows had such major issues with windows mobile…then I had to switch to Fring

i was able to download skype on my mobile phone but was a bit disappointed with the feature. i leave away from my family and i always communicate with them through skype. i was able to speak w/them but unable to view them which i normally could do w/my laptop. ive tried looking for the settings to activate the camera but failed to do so.
