It does what it says on the tin.
Filled in all my details, and it just worked.
Some handsets don’t have proper support, so you’ll have to use your hands-free kit with it.

I’ve been using it since the day of launch. Already switched 2 phones and this is always my 1st choice of a voip application.
Space is always an issue on a mobile, if you are limited in space and looking for some must-have’s- this is definitely one of them, just watch your battery.

Just d/l’d fring for my opened iPhone here in the US, and I love it already. Compared to other IM programs available for the iPhone, it’s up there. As far as Skype goes, I’m not a Skype user YET.
There are some features that need implementing, but the user forums over at fring.com are bustling with suggestions and the staff is great at keeping on top of the bugs and feature requests.
fring is an app with several options built in that Apple doesn’t have yet. There will never be Skype via Apple’s AppStore, but you can bet they have support for the big name chat programs. We’ll see what Apple does in June. In the meantime fring is on the leading edge!

I use it for my Iphone. And I have skype and GTalk. Skype is great but only problem is that you cant talk on skype from Iphone to Iphone. One person must call from a P.C. But my friend and I managed to talk Iphone to Iphone by Gtalk. I expected to have problems since it is a pre release. I think these problems will be released. And if you use multiple services (skype and Gchat), all your buddies are on the same list and you dont know if they are on skype or Gtalk. But overall very happy with it.
