Leading web based telephony provider, JAJAH, has announced the release of their JAJAH Managed Services program.

JAJAH Managed Services is a turnkey telephony service, with everything from network services to billing incorporated in the package that allows third party developers to leverage the power of the JAJAH platform to build advanced voice enabled applications (VEA’s).

Voice enabled applications and the open of platforms is nothing new (in fact it is quite the rage these days), so many might dismiss this announcement as another “me too”, however JAJAH’s first customer?  None other than Yahoo!

According to folks close to JAJAH, Yahoo! will be utilizing the JAJAH platform to provide voice services for their 97 million Yahoo IM users.  Yet another sign that web and mobile based providers are here to stay.
