DeFi Mobile™ Launches DeFi Global Access

DeFi Mobile, a mobile communications company that provides a global IP platform for mobile applications and services, has launched their newest service, DeFi Global Access which allows users to access a subscription-based service enabling its members to make and receive unlimited phone calls worldwide via WiFi access to DeFi Mobile’s carrier-grade, global IP network for $40 a month.

This offer is unique (to me at least) in that it provides Internet and Mobile VoIP service together as a package. Until today, most Mobile VoIP providers simply offered VoIP service and relied you to have WiFi or cellular data network in order to transport calls. Through over 50 partnerships, DeFi Mobile is now able to offer this packaged deal which will undoubtedly make Mobile VoIP calls much easier for users - a big plus and something that makes DeFi Mobile different.

As an aside, I wonder when WiFi providers are going to start offering Mobile VoIP services - sort of seems like a logical progression?

  1. Tim Warner Says:

WiFi providers don’t typically have the desire, knowledge or investment capacity to build their own proprietary network the way DeFi Mobile has. Awkward work-arounds and low quality VOIP solutions will never take off in the enterprise and with people who don’t want their lives disrupted by having to sacrifice quality, hence the DeFi Global Access approach - high quality network, dual-mode phones and affordable global access to voice and data. We’ll be announcing more WiFi provider partnerships, including free-hotspot.com on this Monday, 9.29.08.

    Stay tuned.
